Advancing the rights and dignity of women and girls in Northern Tanzania since our founding.
PWDT was established by visionary youth leaders dedicated to transforming Arusha's pastoralist communities.
Our foundation is built on the belief that inclusive development starts with grassroots advocacy and the protection of indigenous rights. We are officially registered under the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Supported by a lean and agile team of 1 woman and 2 men, working alongside local leaders and community facilitators to ensure cultural alignment across Longido, Monduli, and Ngorongoro Districts.
Full compliance with Tanzanian NGO regulations
A reliable platform for sustainable collaboration
Women and girls have full access to economic, educational, and social opportunities that enable sustainable wellbeing and dignity.
To enhance community wellbeing through educational support, anti-FGM campaigns, skills development, legal empowerment, gender advocacy, and water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives.
